Bally Chohan Dubai, UAE says that the first match of the tri-series featuring India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will be played today at Dambulla, Sri Lanka. New Zealand has come up with a relatively fresh and new team whereas India will be missing some of its key players. Moreover Indian team will be exhausted after a drawn test series. Sri Lanka is another team featuring in tri-series. India Sri Lanka had an engrossing Test series, resulting in 1-1 draw.

The Indian team will also be missing Gautam Gambhir, rested from the series because of an injury. Other key Indian players to miss series opener will be pace spearhead Zaheer Khan along with Ishant Sharma because shoulder and ankle injury respectively.
