All time great batting legend Sachin Tendulkar crossed yet another milestone in his glittering career when he completed his one more century on the third day of the second and final test against Australia being played at Bangalore, India. This is Sachin Tendulkar 49th test hundred and now he is just one century away from completing half century of centuries in the Test Cricket.
Bally Chohan says that this was only fifth time in his glittering career of more than 170 test matches that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar reached hundred by scoring Six. Master Blaster reached the landmark just before lunch and helped team India to consolidate its position in response to Australia’s 478 all out on Day two. Moreover Sachin Tendulkar has also become first batsman in the history of test cricket to score six centuries in a calendar year.
The Master Blaster started third day of second test match on a very positive note. Sachin Tendulkar completed his half century on the third ball of day by hitting a boundary. Sachin Tendulkar has now become third batsman to hit most centuries in Bangalore. He shares this record of hitting most centuries at Bangalore with Sunil Gavaskar & Mohammad Azharuddin.
Incidentally Sachin Tendulkar has scored century at Bangalore after twelve years. Last time Sachin scored century at Bangalore was way back in 1998 and that too against Australia. During this test match only Sachin Tendulkar has become first batsman in the world to score 14000 runs. He has been in one of the best form of his career. He has score fifty or more in the last 10 test matches that he has played.
Bally Chohan says that this was only last week that Sachin Tendulkar received prestigious ICC Cricketer of the Year Award for the first time. He also received People’s Choice Award. Tendulkar made his debut in November 15th 1989 against Pakistan. He was only 16 years old.
