Bally Chohan wishes India on 64th Independence Day

Bally Chohan Dubai wishes the people of India a very Happy Independence Day. India is celebrating its 64th Independence Day today.  While addressing nation from the rampant of Red Fort, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called Maoist guerrillas for peace talks. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also invited separatist groups from Jammu and Kashmir for talks. He said that the government of India is ready for dialogue with any group in Jammu and Kashmir that shuns violence.

Bally Chohan says that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted that Maoist-affected areas in east and central India have seen somewhat slow development.  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed to Naxalites group to abjure violence and come for talks with the government of India. He said that this is the only way to jointly accelerate the social and economic progress of the region. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh termed Maoist violence as a serious challenge to the internal security system of India. Prime Minister assured the nation that his government will deal firmly with those who resort to violence.

Bally Chohan says that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reiterated the fact that his government’s priority is to look for the development of tribal-dominated areas and he has already asked Planning Commission to formulate a comprehensive scheme to this effect.  He urged the tribal population of India to join the mainstream of development and asked various government departments to work in those areas.

Bally Chohan says that Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh also spoke about the current situation in Jammu & Kashmir. The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that his government is ready to talk to every person or group which abjures violence. The Prime Minister reiterated the fact that Kashmir is integral part of India and any talks whatsoever would be held “within this framework” only.  The Kashmir valley has seen worst violence in recent times and over 55 people mostly young men have died since June this year. The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh regretted the death of young Kashmiri men in recent violence incidents.  He urged the people of Kashmir to end the armed separatist campaign in the state come to talks since violence would not benefit anyone.

The Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh requested various separatist groups in Jammu and Kashmir and also in northeast parts of India to join hand with the government of India and adopt democratic means for the welfare of their people.

Manmohan Singh hopeful of favorable response on Warren Anderson from US

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the Prime Minister of India Mr. Manmohan Singh while on his way back from Canada informed media persons that his government is trying its best to ensure that the United States government respond favourably to his government’s request for Andersons extradition. Warren Anderson, former Union Carbide chief has legal cases pending against his name in Indian courts. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was addressing media persons on board, while on his way back from Toronto, Canada.  However Prime Minister Manmohan Singh confirmed media persons that he did not raised this issue in his discussion with President Obama during their meeting at Toronto. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh went Toronto, Canada to attend G20 summit.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told media persons that he was waiting for right to raise this issue of Anderson’s extradition. ‘We will cross the bridge when we come to it’, was Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s reply to a question from media person.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has impressed all world leaders including United States President Barack Obama during his Toronto visit.  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also responded to queries regarding his government and Congress establishment not coming clean on Anderson’s exit from India in December 1984. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that his government is not hiding anything and the reality is for everyone to see.

 Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has come to know that Warren Anderson, former Union Carbide Chief in India now stays in the outskirts of New York. Warren Anderson in 89 years old and is not keeping in best of the health.  

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told media persons that his cabinet colleagues have already gone through the available records and they found nothing that can lead to the person who was responsible for Anderson’s exit.
