Bally Chohan News Alert – Scores fear dead in an Air India plane crash

Bally Chohan Dubai is shocked to hear the news of an Air India plane crash in the southern city India of Mangalore. Nearly 160 people are reported to be dead in the plane crash.

Bally Chohan says that an Air India Boeing 737-800 aircraft on its way to Mangalore from Dubai overshot the runway and crashed into the valley. The plane burst into flames killing 160 people on board. Bally Chohan has come to know that around eight people survived the crash. The survivors include an infant.

Bally Chohan says that dense black smoke could be seen all over. The entire are is surrounded by hills with thick grass and trees.  Firefighters were busy extinguishing flames on the plane whereas others were busy finding survivors.  The dead passengers were strapped into their seats and their bodies were burnt beyond recognition.

Bally Chohan says that there was heart rendering scenes at the Mangalore airport. Relatives of the victims were seen weeping near the wreckage.

One of the survivor named Pradeep told media persons that “the plane shook with vibrations and split into two.” The survivor also informed media persons that there seemed to be not technical fault. The touchdown appeared to be smooth but the problem started with fifteen seconds of the touchdown.  Blaze. There was a small fire in the plane but then a large explosion set off a bigger. Pradeep suffered some minor hand and foot burns.

Bally Chohan has come to know that the crash took place at around 6:00 are India time. The plane crashed at Bajpe Airport, Mangalore while trying to land. The villagers around the airport gathered at the site of crash and seen helping authorities in the rescue operations.

Authorities have already pulled out 148 bodies till the time of writing of this tragic news.

The crash today is said to be deadliest in the last 10 years.  Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh has expressed his condolences at the loss of life.   A special room to help the relatives of victims has been set up at Dubai International Airport.
