Manmohan Singh hopeful of favorable response on Warren Anderson from US

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the Prime Minister of India Mr. Manmohan Singh while on his way back from Canada informed media persons that his government is trying its best to ensure that the United States government respond favourably to his government’s request for Andersons extradition. Warren Anderson, former Union Carbide chief has legal cases pending against his name in Indian courts. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was addressing media persons on board, while on his way back from Toronto, Canada.  However Prime Minister Manmohan Singh confirmed media persons that he did not raised this issue in his discussion with President Obama during their meeting at Toronto. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh went Toronto, Canada to attend G20 summit.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told media persons that he was waiting for right to raise this issue of Anderson’s extradition. ‘We will cross the bridge when we come to it’, was Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s reply to a question from media person.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has impressed all world leaders including United States President Barack Obama during his Toronto visit.  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also responded to queries regarding his government and Congress establishment not coming clean on Anderson’s exit from India in December 1984. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that his government is not hiding anything and the reality is for everyone to see.

 Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has come to know that Warren Anderson, former Union Carbide Chief in India now stays in the outskirts of New York. Warren Anderson in 89 years old and is not keeping in best of the health.  

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told media persons that his cabinet colleagues have already gone through the available records and they found nothing that can lead to the person who was responsible for Anderson’s exit.

Bally Chohan FIFA World Cup Update- Quarter Finals to start today

Bally Chohan says that Uruguay and South Korea have surprised everyone by reaching knockout stage of the FIFA 2010 World Cup. However Bally Chohan feels that there is much more than just reaching knockout stage for South Korea and Uruguay. Both the teams stand an opportunity to reach quarterfinals of the world cup hence they will be giving their best to win and advance to the next round of FIFA World Cup 2010.

Between Uruguay and South Korea, Uruguay has won World cup twice. Last time Uruguay won the world cup in 1950. But after 1950 the Uruguay team hasn’t been lucky enough to win the world cup. After 1950 Uruguay team was able to reach quarter final stage just once, in 1970. On the other hand South Korea reached Semi Final stage in 2002, the year when they hosted world cup. However in the year 2006 the South Korean team failed to reach even quarter final stage.

Bally Chohan says that Uruguay team ended up as winner in Group A whereas South Korean finished runner up in Group B. The team winning today will take on the winner of United States and Ghana team.

Both Uruguay and South Korea will be fighting hard today to win the game. Uruguay team has not conceded even a single goal in their two games they won earlier.  South Korea team on the other hand reached final sixteen by drawing their match 2-2 with Nigeria. Bally Chohan feels that both Uruguay and South Korea plays attacking style game hence their encounter will be a super entertaining game.

The South Korean captain Park plays from Manchester United as their midfielder Lee Jung Soo has scored two goals.

Bally Chohan says that in another match today United States will take on Ghana.  Both the teams are somewhat underdogs of the tournament. Ghana has become the only African team to reach second round of the tournament. The United States team on the other hand was able to draw their two games against England and Slovenia and was able to defeat Algeria 1-0. The performance of the African teams in this world cup has been very much below expectation. Ghana is the only team from African continent to make it to the knock out stage of the tournament after losing 1-0 to Germany on Wednesday.

In the previous world cup i.e. in 2006 the Ghana team was able to make it to the knock out stage and then lost to Brazil 3-0 in the round of sixteen. However this time around they left their injured Chelsea star Michael Essien and entered the world cup with a relatively young team.  Bally Chohan feels that the coach of Ghana team Milovan Rajevac, Serb has done a remarkable job. He has converted Ghana team into a fantastic defensive unit. The Ghana team has conceded only two goals in last three games. Most of the team members in Ghana team have started playing from Ghana team less four years ago.

The United States team was able to reach quarter final stage during the 2002 world cup and is trying to repeat the same performance during this world cup also. Their performance this time around has created a plenty of buzz among their fans back home in United States.

Bally Chohan World News Update – Shahzad Faisal pleads guilty

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the Times Square, New York bombing suspect Shahzad Faisal has pleaded guilty. Faisal Shahzad describes himself as Muslim soldier.  Shahzad Faisal is a Pakistan born United States citizen.  Shahzad Faisal informed court of enquiry that he is an honest Muslim soldier and will keep on attacking United States until it leaves Muslim lands.

Bally Chohan has come to know through media reports that Shahzad Faisal, Pakistan born US citizen has pleaded guilty of on 10 terrorism and weapon counts. Some of the charges indicted on him carry mandatory life sentence.

Shahzad Faisal is married to a US citizen and is father of two kids. He was wearing a white skull cap and prisoners uniform when he was brought to the court. His behavior at the time of bringing him to court was serious. Shahzad Faisal informed court of law that he made bomb by himself and did not took any help from others. Shahzad went on to say that the court should understand that from where is coming and considered him to be a true Muslim. He was supported by Pakistan based Taliban group in his mission. He was provided with USD 15000 by Pakistani Taliban to carry out his cause.

Narrating the sequence of incidents Shahzad Faisal informed court that he parked his vehicle equipped with different bomb components. He had hoped to set off a fertilizer-fuelled bomb packed in gun cabinet. He was also carrying a folding rifle if in case needed. After putting on the fuse he went out and waited for around five minutes for bomb to explode. However he walked back home on not hearing any sound.

Shahzad Faisal also informed court that he was aware of the presence of people from other countries at Times Square during that time. However he thought that irrespective of their nationality they all have participated in the elections and are responsible for the formation of government hence they all are enemies.  He said they he takes this as war against US and in war you don’t see if the enemy is a women or child. He went on to say that he consider himself to be an answer to US terrorizing the Muslims people and Muslim nations. He said he is avenging the attack on their behalf.

Bally Chohan says that the judge Cedarbaum asked Shahzad Faisal that does he know about the consequences of him being pleading guilty. Shahzad Faisal responded by saying that he knows that he can be behind bars for the rest of his life.  At one point of time the judge even asked him if he is sure to plead guilty.

Bally Chohan Movie Review – Raavan gets positive reviews in the United States

Bally Chohan says that Mani Ratnam’s latest bollywood release Raavan has received some very positive reviews from United States media. The New York Times, one of the leading newspapers in United States has ranked Raavan as ‘Critics Pick’.  Bally Chohan has come to know that this distinction of being chosen as ‘Critics Pick’ has never before earned by any Indian film. Another US newspaper The Los Angeles Times has also praised the movie Raavan. Mani Ratnam’s Raavan was released in over 2200 screens all over the world on last Friday.  

Bally Chohan has liked Aishwarya Rai’s performance in Raavan. Aishwarya Rai leads others as far as onscreen performance is concerned. Aishwarya Rai is closely followed by her off-screen husband Abhishek Bachhan. Abhishek Bachhan has done justice to the character of Beera. Other actors in the movie like Vikarm and Govinda lags behind a long way and are their performance is nowhere near Aishwarya Rai or Abhishek Bachhan.

The most disappointing part of Raavan is its story. Bally Chohan feels that Mani Ratnam should have worked more on its screenplay. The screenplay of Raavan lacks substance and bite.

Bally Chohan is a huge fan of Santosh Sivan’s cinematography and in Raavan also their cinematography is absolutely amazing. The camera work of Santosh Sivan and Manikandan is the heart and soul of Raavan.  They did an amazing job. The photography of Raavan is the most amazing aspect of the movie.

Bally Chohan says that the music of Raavan is interesting. The music of Raavan is by A R Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar.  A R Rahman has given some unforgettable songs in association with Mani Ratnam in his earlier movies. However this time around the music of Raavan does not falls into the same category. The numbers to watch out for in Raavan are: Beera, Behne De and Khili Re.

Aishwarya Rai looks stunning even without makeup in this movie. Bally Chohan feels that the film Raavan is inspired by great Indian epic Ramayana.

Bally Chohan would like to rate Raavan as ‘Above Average’.

Bally Chohan Health Update – Walking on Water

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has come to know that people in the capital city of one of India’s eastern state Assam are using walking on water as an option to lose weight. People in Guwahati, have stopped using gym or other means of exercise and are walking on water to get into shape. Walking on water has become latest craze in Guwahati.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that walking on water involves a plastic sphere, which helps any person to run lapse on water. The plastic sphere mostly used for fun is gaining popularity as the best exercise option in Guwahati, India.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) during his India visit last month visited Guwahati. Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) met some persons who are using walking on water as an option to lose weight. Radhika, one of the water ball user told Bally Chohan that she has stopped going to gym as the gym was proving to be very expensive and time consuming. However she found walking on water as better option. She told Bally Chohan that you tend to easily burn lot of calories, once you learn how to balance the sphere.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the giant ball used for walking on water is capable of handling the weight of person while staying afloat. You only need to keep your act together i.e. keep yourself balanced while you are inside the sphere.

Rajveer Chohan told Bally that although he is yet to learn how to balance himself while on the water and is still crawling on water, however he has already lost one kilogram in just seven days of using water ball.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has met certain fitness professional and discussed with them the pros and cons of water walking. Most of the fitness professionals Bally met were leery of any benefits from walking on water. They agreed that walking on water will definitely help in getting your heart to pump a bit faster and thus resulting in burning of unwanted calories.

On the other side, most of the gym users differ from this. They think that this won’t suit people of all ages. They think that some people might not be able to balance and it is not practical to suggest water walking to everyone.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that people may argue whether walking on water is practical or not, however this is proving to be a lot of fun.

Bally Chohan Real Estate Update – Major Water Park to come up on Yas Island

Bally Chohan has come to know that Aldar Properties is planning to build a very huge water park on Yas Island. Aldar Properties are planning to make this water park as one of the major leisure and entertainment destination in United Arab Emirates.

Bally Chohan says that the water park will be spread over 16.4 hectare and will feature almost forty rides. This will also have one of its kind ride that no one has seen before in anywhere in the water park.  Bally Chohan has come to know that the park will be based on theme of providing world class experience to its guests and will have an out of the world family atmosphere for its guests of all ages.

Yas Island already has some world class attractions like Ferrari World, the park based on Ferrari theme and the water park is sure to join this range. Ferrari World is slated to open on 28th October. Besides Ferrari World and Water Park, the Yas Island has also hosted Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Other attraction at Yas Islands are Yas Links, UAE’s first true link golf course, and seven hotels. This includes Yas Hotel, the first of its kind in the world to span a Grand Prix circuit.

Bally Chohan says that Aldar is planning to start the construction of project during July 2010 and is hoping to finish this by 2012.

Spokesperson of Aldar informed media persons that the company will make sure to build this water park as the most environmental friendly and sustainable water parks in the world.

Bally Chohan Entertainment update – Amitabh Bachchan back in KBC

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has come to know that the mega star of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is back on Indian television. The living legend of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is back as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan is all set to host fourth season of one of the most popular game shows in Indian television history.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that Kaun Banega Crorepati is based on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, a popular game show on UK television. The fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati is slated to hit Indian television by the end of this year. However, Bally Chohan has learnt from some reliable sources in Indian television industry that this time around Kaun Banega Crorepati will be aired on different channel and not on Star Plus.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that this was in 2001 that Amitabh Bachchan first appeared on Indian television as a host of famous game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan also featured in the second edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Second season of Kaun Banega Crorepati started in 2005 and was known as Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiya. However the second season of Kaun Banega Crorepati had to be abruptly called off because of Amitabh Bachchan’s illness. Organisers of the show announced that the show will be back on air as soon as Amitabh Bachchan recovers from his illness, but this never happened and Shahrukh Khan returned as new host of the show.

Bally Chohan has come to know that the organizers of the show also considered Anil Kapoor as another option to host fourth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, however channel put it foot down on the name of Amitabh Bachchan.

Organisers of the show are defending bringing back Amitabh Bachchan as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati by saying that the show never achieved the same success with Shahrukh Khan as host which it achieved during Amitabh Bachchan time.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that during Amitabh Bachchan time Kaun Banega Crorepati was considered to be a time stopper. The popularity of this serial was unparalleled. Viewers in India used to change their dinner time either before or after the game show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan so that they don’t miss the show.

Bally Chohan (UAE) Update – Breast Cancer Radiotherapy in 30 minutes!

Bally Chohan (UAE) has come to know that the breast cancer patients won’t have to go through the painful six-week course of radiotherapy anymore. Very soon the Breast cancer radiotherapy will soon be 30 minutes affair only.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that a team of UK based doctors have successfully created and tested a new technique that will blast the remnants of cancerous tumour in the breast of infected person. You will need only one shot lasting 45 minutes rather than six-week course. The doctor who has successfully developed new technique is from India and his name is Dr Jayant S Vaidya. Dr Jayant S Vaidya hails from Western state of Goa. With the help of new technique you have to use radiation only around the infected part and not on the entire breast as is being done presently.

Bally Chohan (UAE) has come to know that the new technique is also known as TIR i.e. Targeted Intraoperative Radiotherapy. TIR has been successfully tested in nine countries for the last ten years involving about two thousand women. The study has confirmed that the radiation targeting infected areas is as effective as whole breast radiation.

The success story of Dr Jayant S Vaidya was published in the latest edition of ‘The Lancet’, a medical journal.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that this new technique has proved to be very effective. A patient during recovery after removal of tumour is administered X-rays while he is still under anesthesia. The X-rays are administered to destroy remaining infected cells from the affected area of breast. TTR is said to extremely convenient technique where the tumour inside breast can be removed with one session of radiation. Bally Chohan says that this technique is not only convenient but also less expensive and time saving also.

Bally Chohan feels that this new technology TTR can bring in some important changes in the treatment of patients suffering from Breast Cancer. Dr Vaidya while addressing media persons informed them that he has been contacted by several hospitals from India including Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. The hospitals in India have shown considerable interest in the work of Dr Vaidya.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has learn that Breast cancer has tendency to recur near the area where tumour was detected. This is the reason why Dr Vaidya believes that the concentrated dose of radiation has to be administered to the tissues of highly infected areas only.

Bally Chohan Sports update – Massa to stay with Ferrari.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that Brazilian Felipe Massa has signed up with Ferrari for two more years. Brazilian Felipe Massa was suffering from some life threatening injuries that have made question mark on his career. However the announcement by Felipe Massa to extend his contract and keep him at F1 glamour team Ferrari until the end of 2012 has ended all speculations.  

Bally Chohan says that in a press statement released on Sunday, the 29 years old Formula One driver Felipe Massa expressed his happiness in getting opportunity to be able to drive Ferrari again for further two seasons. Felipe Massa further went on to say that he feels proud to be associated by Ferrari and consider them to be their second family.

Massa has suffered some very serious injuries at the Hungarian Grand Prix 2009. The injuries sustained were so serious that the put questions mark on his future. Brazilian Formulae One driver Felipe Massa was hit by bouncing debris from another Formulae One driver from Brazil Rubens Barrichello Brawn in a tragic accident in qualifying round.

Massa is currently placed at seventh position with 26 points. However he has come back determined to show the world that everything has not lost as yet and he has a lot in him.

Stefano Domenicali, the team principal told media persons that he welcome back Felipe and said that Massa has been part of the team Ferrari for the past ten years.

Ferrari has contract with Brazilian driver Felipe Massa since 2001. In the initial stages Massa drove Sauber, a Ferrari engine based car. The Brazilian racer has 30 podiums placing to his credit

Bally Chohan movie review – Raajneeti

Bally Chohan (UAE) is very much impressed with the new release Raajneeti and would recommend Raajneeti as a must watch movie.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that Raajneeti a film by Prakash Jha is based on ancient India epic Mahabharata. Mahabharata is without any doubt the most powerful political in India. Mahabharata is story of brothers fighting against each other to gain ultimate power.  Raajneeti, a film directed by Prakash Jha is based on the similar storyline whereby deriving inspiration from the plot and character of Mahabharata.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that this might take some time for you to initially grasp the storyline in initial stages of the film. However, the plot tightens its grip as the film progresses.  The main star cast of the film includes Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Manoj Bajpayee, Arjun Rampal and Nana Patekar.  

Veerendra Pratap Singh and Prithvi Pratap Singh are two cousins who are heirs of a big political party. Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of Veerendra Pratap Singh whereas Arjun Rampal portray role of Prithvi Pratap Singh. Ajay Devgan plays the role of backward class leader who supports Veerendra Pratap Singh to evict Prithvi Pratap Singh from the party when Prithvi was taking the lead.

Ranbir Kapoor plays role Samar, younger brother to Prithvi who gets sucked into political rivalry between the families.  Brij Gopal (Nana Patekar) who plays role of a senior party member and relative of the family mentors Samar to take charge of the party. Samar along with Brij Gopal helps Prithvi in contesting elections against Veerendra Pratap Singh by arranging funds.

Bally Chohan (UAE) says that you will definitely compare the characters in movie with that of the characters in Mahabharata. Character of Veerendra Pratap Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) is very much derived from Duryodhana whereas Ajay Devgan character resembles that of Karan from Mahabharata. Nana Patekar’s character resembles Krishna from Mahabharata who guide Pandava’s in their fight against Kaurava’s. Samar Pratap (Ranbir Kapoor) depicts Arjun of Mahabharata.

Bally Chohan finds the characterization to be recreated with effectiveness. The best part of the movie is its screenplay. Screenplay of Raajneeti is by the director of movie Prakash Jha and Anjum Rajabali. The screenplay of Raajneeti is gripping and is full of dynamic flow. You can say Raajneeti to be one of the unique bollywood movies where almost every central character in the movie has shades of grey.

Bally Chohan has also found hint of Godfather in Raajneeti other than Mahabharata. Like Godfather Ranbir Kapoor stays back in India to fight for his father’s lost empire. This is where the film moves from political drama to regular revenge drama.

Bally Chohan has always found Prakash Jha at his best when it comes to the political drama. Prakash Jha has extracted the best performance from entire cast of his film.  The film Raajneeti is a must watch film.
