Bally Chohan as a kid always wanted to visit Kashmir and till date this is Bally Chohan dream to be at Kashmir. Bally Chohan feels that Kashmir, on the Himalayan border between India and Pakistan is one of the best places ob earth for snowboarding. It’s just a shame that it’s also the world’s highest battle zone.

Bally Chohan often wonders what the problem is.   After Britain ended its 89 years of colonial rule in India,  it dividend India into India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and later into Burma.  Britain pulling out means that all 562 states particularly on border are free to decide where to go. Jammu & Kashmir had Hindu King with a predominantly Muslim population.  The leader wanted to remain independent from both India and Pakistan but when Pakistan tribes invaded he called Independent India for help. In turn he signed an agreement with Indian government handing them over the J&K to India. Pakistan on the other hand considered his handing over of the state to India as null & void.

Bally Chohan feels that this is a stalemate than. Besides war in 1947, 1865 and 1999 there’s also been an insurgency that has killed 100,000 and displaced 750,000 since 1980.

Bally Chohan thinks that cease line is a very loose term, as running battles remain over the line of control. India holds sixty percent of the state whereas Pakistan holds thirty percent and China remaining ten percent.

Bally Chohan don’t thinks so that this is all for just ski resort. All this has something to do with the rivers that flow from India to Pakistan side.
