So you invite your colleague to show your work and there was the initial excitement about its process and final show – and then it came time to actually get it running. And, then you realize something is wrong with your computer/software? You start panicking about the data lost or work. Here is a tip on Data Safety and Recovery.
When you “lose” files, whether through accidental deletion or boot or partition sector corruption, your files can often be returned quite quickly, with specialized software. Typical symptoms of this can be simply a “disappearing file” or an accidentally emptied “recycle bin”. It is likely that your computer still boots (except in cases where your boot record had been compromised), and there are no noises coming from your drive.
